To honour the resilience of millions of women survivors of war around the world, Women for Women International in the UK is hosting a global campaign called Join me on the Bridge on International Women's Day: March 8, 2010.
Join Brita Schmidt and other women at 10am on Monday, March 8 at Victoria Embankment Gardens, where they will walk to the Millennium Bridge. There will be a women’s festival along the embankment and, at 12:00, they’ll join together on the Millennium Bridge.

She is passionate about the skills development of women, and this passion has taken her on various campaigns to many countries.
