VSO campaigning for new agency to help women

In 2009 the UN will be deciding whether or not to create a new Women’s Agency. The UN sets global standards for human rights, but right now it has no single agency with the resources to work globally to improve the status of women. The Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) is campaigning for a new UN agency to help more women earn an income, access healthcare and have a say in decisions that affect their lives.
