Government launches Public Leaders training and development courses

The UK Government in partnership with Common Purpose’s About Time campaign has launched two brand new programmes:

* About Time Public Leaders (Advanced)
* About Time Public Leaders

The courses are designed to support the government’s aim to increase the diversity of public body board members and the pool of talented individuals ready to take up public appointments, with wider representation including women, ethnic minorities and disabled people.

Public bodies need board members to help make important decisions that shape the quality of our lives and public services. Boards that have a diverse mix of people and talent make the best decisions.

You can play an active role in the society by joining the board of a public body. It also provides an excellent opportunity for you to expand your skills, develop your career and make a positive impact in your community.
